Our Philosophy

Our philosophy combines the mindset of a long term business owner with the discipline of a value investor. We believe markets can be inefficient in the short term, but over time, outcomes are driven by business fundamentals and the price paid for them.

How We Think About Markets

In the short run, prices can be influenced by sentiment, headlines, and positioning.

Over time, fundamentals assert themselves: revenues, earnings, cash flows, and capital allocation. We focus on the underlying business and the valuation we are paying, not short term price movements.

Why We Invest Globally

Our criteria are intentionally demanding: exceptional business quality, aligned management, credible long term growth, and valuation that offers a meaningful margin of safety. That full combination is rarely available within a single market at all times.

A global mandate expands the opportunity set and allows flexibility across cycles. When one region is priced for optimism, others may be priced for undue pessimism. We allocate where fundamentals and valuation are most compelling without being anchored to geography or index composition.

Great Businesses at Sensible Prices

We seek above average businesses trading at below average valuations. We focus on durable competitive advantages, strong and sustainable returns on capital, and management teams with a proven record of disciplined capital allocation and shareholder alignment.

A great business can be a poor investment at the wrong price. We require a clear gap between price and intrinsic value before we invest.

Time Horizon

We evaluate investments as if we were buying a private business with a multi year horizon. We accept short term volatility as the cost of long term compounding and remain prepared to be patient when attractive opportunities are scarce.

What We Do Not Do

We do not trade headlines, chase momentum, or rely on themes. We avoid businesses with weak economics, poor governance, misaligned incentives, or valuations that do not offer an adequate margin of safety.
